Scouts are boys and girls aged 11 to 15 years. 2nd Northmead Scouts meet every Wednesday night (during school terms) from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
Scout activities are many and varied, just a few activities that 2nd Northmead scouts have done recently include lilo-ing down creeks in the blue mountains, bike hikes, checking out disused underground railway tunnels, camping at the beach, shooting at a rifle range and many other camps and hikes to various places.
These activities are planned and organised by the Scouts with the supervision and advice of the Scout Leader. The Scouts learn team working, leadership skills, organisation skills and survival skills just to mention a few.
They make great friends and meet Scouts from other groups through district activities such as competition camps, jamborees, jamborettes, swimming carnivals and raft races.
2nd Northmead Scouts have a great time together, when on camps they go fishing, swimming, canoeing, hiking and telling yarns around the campfire.
Come and experience the adventure at 2nd Northmead Scouts!
